Everything We Do, We Do With a Purpose
We’ve been buying and selling houses in the Metro Detroit area for the last 10 years. We love it. And we’re good at it.
Over the years, we’ve developed an expertise in real estate and home improvement that we are now using to help seniors who need to transition into a new living situation—downsizing, assisted living, family. It has become our purpose and our passion.
A native Metro Detroiter, Brandon currently lives with his wife Fiona in Ferndale. After years working in Detroit factories both on the labor and administration side, he took the leap to go off on his own doing something he loves to do, purchase Real Estate.
Brandon purchased his first property back in 2006, just 2 months before the big crash. In that two months his new home halved in value. His hours were cut back at the factory and he found himself in a position like many other Americans, struggling to pay his mortgage. Extremely close to being foreclosed on, Brandon managed to save his home and learnt many lessons along the way.
He founded Property solvers as he wanted to use his new knowledge to help others facing difficult situations with their properties. He has held his Real Estate license since 2009, which keeps him up to date on all legal, administrative and market changes.
Brandon develops personalized solutions for every client he works with, by listening to their unique situation and finding the best solution to their problem. An avid ice hockey player (won the Nationals in his youth), Brandon brings similar qualities like determination, quick thinking and respect from the ice to his business.
Fiona Byrne Ryan
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Fiona attended University College Dublin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. Having traveled to Nairobi, Kenya in 2009 on a building project, this inspired her Bachelor thesis. Her thesis used design in order to solve water and sanitation issues in a section of one of the largest slums in Africa.
In 2015 she received an opportunity to come and work in the United States. Arriving on the East Coast, she then made her way to Portland, Oregon. While in Portland, Fiona worked in community development and learnt about the positive impact design can have on neighborhoods. Portland was a great learning experience, but Fiona wanted to spend her year in the states somewhere more raw and challenging. She packed up her bags and drove across the country to Detroit.
Fiona immersed herself in Detroit, working at farmers markets and volunteering at urban farms, shelters and community outreach programs in the city. It was in the first few weeks of moving to Detroit that she meet Brandon (now her husband) and become a part of Property Solvers. Fiona’s enthusiasm for giving back and helping those in need fit perfectly into Property Solvers.
